ImageA telegram arrived from Moscow. "Pick up your ticket to Prague from your nearest Aeroflot office." Therewas of course no Aeroflot office in New Zealand. At that time the world was locked into the insoluble conflict of the Cold War and to even show an interest in the USSR invited surveillance from the SIS. The globe was poised on the brink of a nuclear war.
