From time to time the Group met down at Karaka Bay. Ian Town did a delightful watercolour. I admired it. He cut it off his board and gave it to me.
An artist is able to capture astonishing complexity in a single acutely observed detail. Piglet's fate hangs in the balance while Helen paints on through the night in the boatshed.
