Death knell |
Death knell, not vision
It has been a long, anxious wait to discover just why the Disunitary Plan to make Auckland the most unlovevable city in the world has concluded that everyone should be the same. Sadly nothing has been revealed. Taking that wrong first move has rendered everything else in the Plan irrelevant. Anyone with even a rudimentary knowledge of history, science or philosophy knows that diversity and complexity are necessary foundations for sustainability. The future is always a surprise because we always get it wrong. In the past we have fortunately been saved by the insights we failed to recognise. The Disunitary Plan in contrast offers a death knell, not a vision.
