It was valuable for the Courier to point out the need for a bird sanctuary in Howick so that Penny Campbell can allow her three dogs to chase threatened species without needing to drive all the way to Tahuna Torea. (26 March 2008)

 

 

 

Driving dogs around the city only causes unnecessary global warming.

This will ultimately put the human species onto the threatened list along with birds.

If more than eight hundred responsible dog owners want a bird sanctuary the time to act is now. When there are no birds left it will be too late.
